Join me as I walk down the memory lane,
To reminisce the college tales of joy and pain.
It seems like only yesterday when it all started,
We met, made memories, and soon parted.
With a vision in mind, we embarked on this quest,
To learn new skills and become the best.
We made lots of friends and had plenty of fun,
Exploring every opportunity under the sun.
From bunking classes to engaging in shenanigans,
We grew up to become responsible citizens.
From the gossips at the mess table to the classroom pranks,
The magnificent Ganga Artis and time spent at Ghats.
From the aroma of LC’s Chai Samose filling up the air,
To drawing strength from VT during times of despair.
Life was nothing short of a marvelous fairy tale!
But then came the most dreadful time of the year,
Midsems and Endsems made us tremble with fear.
Tension, anxiety, and tons of sleepless nights,
As we mugged up formulae and concepts overnight!
The library became our go-to destination,
And course backlogs caused huge frustration.
We toiled so hard! It is impossible to explain,
Those last few days were totally insane!
Assignments, vivas, and project submission,
Seemed to be a very daunting mission.
The exam stress challenged us to be our best,
We left no stone unturned to prepare for our test.
Notes and reference books were shared,
All the pending doubts were cleared.
Above all this rose the worst form of fear,
For the students whose ED exams were near.
Geared up to fight on the gruesome battlefield,
The future engineers packed their swords and shields.
With dreams to get dassi and branch change in head,
We set sail on our voyage not knowing where it led.
Such were the preps for our offline sems!
Things were going pretty well until the pandemic came our way,
Changing lives forever and snatching our freedom away.
Colleges shut down and students were sent back,
Soon online classes started and we were back on track.
Blackboards got replaced with laptop screens,
Lecture halls - long forgotten, now we had MS Teams.
Tough times brought many challenges along,
From network problems to mic issues, a lot went wrong.
Solving assignments was now a piece of cake for us,
With high-speed internet, it was no longer a fuss!
Subjective exams became a thing of the past,
MCQs and quizzes took over at last.
Life became much simpler with enough time to spare,
It was as if God had finally answered our prayer.
We learnt to fight alone as we remained detached,
We would forever be recalled as the Covid Batch!
